Okay, I know this looks like a wedding, it sounds like a wedding, it even smells like a wedding. But Catherine and Scott actually got married back in May. It turns out that love couldn’t wait through the months of wedding prep, so thy tied the knot in an informal ceremony, and had the full gala a few months later . Michele Drumm and I teamed up for this out-of towner.

Joon and Younga's Wedding

When Joon, my bud from grad school, asked me to be his best man, I was hugely honored. I must admit, though, that I was hoping to be able to take some photos at his wedding. The best of both worlds converged when he asked me to shoot the Koren wedding (preceding the American one), as well as the gettin’ ready shots. Score.

LTJG David Schwab and I were invited to photograph Acting Surgeon General RADM Steven Galson to commemorate his service during his final days in office. We headed to HHS Headquarters, armed with an assortment of photography equipment. The shoot was scheduled to begin at 1:30pm so we planned to arrive early enough to setup our mobile studio. After winding our way through downtown DC from our Rockville office, we found our designated parking area and schlepped our not-so-portable equipment across the street to the Humphrey Building. Once our elaborate assortment of gear cleared security, we were able to head upstairs to the Surgeon General’s suite.

Kim, Chris and I met up in Old Town Alexandria for their engagement photo session. Congrats again guys! You two are awesome together, which made my job very easy, by the way ;) This part of Alexandria is really amazing. Every street feels thoroughly matured thought decades of history, love, and trials. A great place to kick off a marriage, if you ask me!

I admit it, I’m a procrastinator. I’ve had nine months to photograph my wife’s maternity portraits, but the cobbler’s family has gone barefoot again. Until now. I was NOT going to miss this. No matter that she was in labor, we were gonna get this thing done!

A year ago Stephen decided to change his physique. And he did. 70 lbs later, he's got a new body, a career managing one of the coolest gyms in Maryland, and a schedule rapidly filling with modeling gigs. When the gym asked for some before and after images for a collage of physique stories, he knew he wanted an image as dramatic as his transformation. Oh, and he needed it within 48 hours.
